After weeks of practice, concentration, and focused growth, I have nearly perfected my latest feat.
Prepare to be amazed, readers!
I can now jump the three feet needed to gain a place on the bed. Exciting, I know. You should've seen Kevin's face when he came into the bedroom after his shower. (I've been practicing while he and April were in the living room watching Charmed.) I figured that Tuesday morning was the perfect day to spring my latest talent onto my owners. April had gone to work early and Kevin was drowsy enough to think that my jumping onto the bed was equal to the completion of the Sistine Chapel.
Not really, but you can imagine what Kevin's face must've looked like. He gets so excited when I do something new. 'Cept when I bark at the little girls at the store; you gotta understand things though. A) Wolfhounds don't bark. We simply are not understood. 2) I'm an excellent judge of character. The little girl had just finished pulling her sister's hair and I was expressing my disapproval of her behavior.
But back to the bed. My jump isn't perfected, but I'm getting better. I don't need as much of a running start as before. Last night, I did it nearly from a flat-footed start.
I need to improve on my dismount though.
Off for a nap.
